WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A West Allis childhood cancer patient is battling a brain tumor and helping other kids like himself.
He hosted a blood drive in West Allis with Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin.
Linkin Eger was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was two years old.
People with the blood drive say events like this usually get a good turnout.
"Typically for this drive I think we had a goal of 30-40 donors, said Matt Queen of Versiti Blood Center. "Typically we see 30-40-50 people come to our drives like this -- we have large drives like this, we just had one at State Fair."
Eger also helped start his own organization, "My Friend Linkin." It's a non-profit that aims to teach and inspire others about cancer through children's books.
