Weather Is Music to Many People's Ears

Weather is typically portrayed in popular music.  In fact, a new study finds more than 750 songs have some kind of weather reference with the most common being sun and rain, and blizzards being the least common.

The research analyzed the weather through lyrics, musical genre, keys and links to specific events. It's also interesting to note 7% of these songs appeared in Rolling Stone's Top 500 lists of Greatest Songs of All Times in 2011.

It was also determined musicians were inspired by specific weather events, such as \"Here Comes The Sun\" written by George Harrison.  He said he wrote the song after one of the first sunny days following a long winter.
