MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – After being off for five days due to weather, school leaders at Northwest Catholic are easing students back into the school day on Friday.
“It is a lot of time off,” Northwest Catholic principal Michelle Paris said. “We had to take into consideration the safety of our students, we have several that walk.”
Paris said the facilities manager has been checking on the school to make sure it is safe for students to return. Additionally, the kids will be kept inside for recess.
Paris said the school has a lot to celebrate including being back in session and earning ‘exceeding expectations’ on the Wisconsin State Report Card.
The school will celebrate with ice cream on Friday.
