We Energies: Nearly 7,000 customers lose power in Milwaukee area Tuesday

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Less than 150 people remain without power Tuesday night, following a large outage earlier in the day.

According to the We Energies interactive outage map, only 40 households remained without power in Milwaukee County as of Tuesday evening, 22 in Kenosha County and 72 in Ozaukee County.

Nearly 7,000 were without power at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A few hundred people remain without power in the Milwaukee-area on Tuesday afternoon, Sep. 8. 

The We Energies interactive outage map indicates 388 customers are still in the dark as of 3:15 p.m. 

The energy company says the outages were caused by two separate incidents.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We Energies is reporting nearly 7,000 people are without power in the Milwaukee-area on Tuesday morning, Sept. 8.

According to We Energies, the outages are from two separate incidents in the area. A vehicle came into contact with a pole in Riverwest, and a tree branches downed wires near 20th and Capitol in Milwaukee.

We Energies says crews are working to repair both areas.

It's unclear how long it will take for power to be restored.
