"Recovery effort" underway after boat capsizes on Upper Nashotah Lake

SUMMIT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The missing boater has been identified as Rev. Dr. Daniel A. Westberg who taught at Nashotah House Theological Seminary.
Divers recovered his body on Thursday, October 19.

UPDATE: SUMMIT, Wis. (CBS 58) – As the 24-hour mark approaches, the search for a missing boater has turned from a rescue to a recovery operation.
Rescue crews from the DNR and the county resumed searching shortly after 7:00 a.m. Thursday.
Several boats worked different parts of the lake, looking for the person who was on a boat that capsized on Wednesday.
The boats appear to have converged toward one area, taking a close look at one spot in the lake.
More information from police is expected Thursday afternoon.

UPDATE: WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – Search crews will be back in the water Thursday searching for a missing boater in Nashotah Lake.
Police were called to upper Nashotah Lake in Waukesha County just before 1:00 in the afternoon Wednesday for a person in distress. When they got there, they found a capsized boat, but no owner. Authorities looked for hours and divers searched the water, while officers walked the perimeter of the lake.
A drone was also used.
The search was called off for the day when it became too dark.

After several hours of searching unsuccessfully, the search for the missing boater is now considered a "recovery effort."
The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department Dive Unit has suspended their search efforts due to darkness.
The effort will continue tomorrow morning.

SUMMIT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department is actively searching Nashotah Lakes for a missing man in his 70s after his boat was found overturned and unoccupied around 12:52 p.m. Wednesday. Someone who called 911 said they heard voices from the lake that sounded like someone was in distress.
As of 4:00 p.m. divers are actively searching for the man.
Summit Police, Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Delafield Fire Department and DNR are helping with the search.
