Waukesha Police: One in critical condition after two vehicles collide in uncontrolled intersection

UPDATE: WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash in Waukesha.

According to witnesses at the scene, a black SUV was traveling southbound on Hwy 164 approaching an uncontrolled intersection when a red Chevy SUV drove across Hwy 164 eastbound.

The Chevy SUV was struck by the black SUV.

The driver of the red Chevy SUV is in critical condition.

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Waukesha Police Department has been called out to a serious accident.

It happened around 5 p.m. near Hwy 164 at Lincoln Avenue.

Officers will be shutting down all southbound traffic on HWY 164 at Arcadian Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing.
