Waukesha Man Taken into Custody for Striking Pedestrian in West Allis

West Allis Police arrested the driver that allegedly struck a pedestrian on S. 108th Street and W. Oklahoma Avenue. 

According to West Allis Police, the incident happened on Tuesday night around 7:28 PM. 

A 58-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for treatment after being struck by a vehicle. 

Initial investigation by police revealed the pedestrian was walking westbound across the intersection and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on S. 108th Street. 

The striking vehicle did not immediately stop for the crash. 

Officers located the vehicle and the driver nearby. 

A 47-year-old Waukesha man is currently in police custody. 

West Allis Police Department Traffic Investigators and officers continue to investigate all the circumstances surrounding this crash.
