Waukesha County invites volunteers to help plant over 300 trees for Arbor Day 🌲

WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow and Johnson's Nursery, Inc. is inviting residents and groups to volunteer to help the park system plant trees at Menomonee Park as a way to celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, April 30.

Residents and groups can help park staff plant 35 trees and shrubs donated from Johnson's Nursery, Inc. and 300 native tree seedlings from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Nursery.

“We are thrilled to have Johnson’s Nursery join us this year in our commitment to improving our County’s green spaces by planting native trees each Arbor Day,” Farrow said. “Native trees provide important habitat for wildlife and enhance the beauty of our public spaces,”
