Watertown woman battling fibromyalgia, but not giving up music

WATERTOWN-To see Lisa Adrian now with a new CD entitled \"Show Me\" you'd never know she's been battling fibromyalgia all her adult life.

\"It can be overwhelming\" the wife and mother of four told CBS 58 News. \"In fact, I was suicidal in college when the incident first happened and nobody believed me.\"

An often misunderstood illness, fibromyalgia is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain with fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.

It forced Lisa to give up her beloved viola but she was determined not to give up her passion for music.

\"I tried to stop but it had to come out some other way.I started writing music, started playing the piano, and I started singing which was something I was to shy to do before that.\"

Lisa has the following performance dates:

December 15th Countryside Christian Church, 16650 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield 9 a.m.

December 24th Watertown Church, 106 E. Madison Street

January 25th  adoption benefit at Kettle Moraine High School, 349. North Oak Drive, Wales
