Washington County K9 deputy 'Ryker' tracks down fleeing felon

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is recognizing the work of a special member of the force.

Ryker, a 2-year-old K9, helped deputies track down a man who was trying to run from an arrest on Christmas Eve.

The 25-year-old man drove away from a traffic stop in the town of Polk before getting out of his car and running.

Ryker picked up the man's scent and led his partner to a tree, where the suspect was hiding. 

The man faces several charges, including drug possession, obstructing and several traffic violations.
