Warning for swimmers in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN, WI - Swimming in some areas of Lake Michigan along Sheboygan County were highly discouraged by the National Weather Service Sunday. Officials issued high wave and current warnings for the lake there. Officials were also concerned about the possibility of rip currents forming. They can sweep swimmers out to deep water in a hurry. The best way to escape a rip current is to swim parallel to the shoreline. Those warnings expired late Sunday Night and fortunately officials have not reported any problems on the water.
