Our well-advertised warm up is finally here! Temperatures will warm fast on Friday through the 40s, 50s, 60s with highs reaching the low 70s in many communities! We will have to watch any lake breeze impacts but highs should stay in the low 70s through the weekend and even into the beginning of next week.
Unfortunately, with all of this warmth will come another round of strong wind. Gusts on Friday will reach 30 mph, stay breezy Saturday then ramp back up on Sunday.
Despite the wind, this is going to be a great weekend to see some fall color in southeast Wisconsin. Most of central and northern Wisconsin, including Door County, is now past peak on fall color. The best place to see the fall color will be right here in southeast Wisconsin. Don't wait until next weekend which likely won't be as warm or as vibrant with the colors.
The weekend sunshine will start to come to an end by sunset on Sunday. Sunday night has a chance for some light rain showers with more rain looking possible Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
