Want family fun this weekend? Try the Lake Moon Festival

Promising free fun for the whole family, Eric Halling and Bruce Bessert, organizers for the Lake Moon Festival joined us live on the CBS 58 News at 4.

\"The Lake Moon Festival is an outreach of Concordia University intended for the entire community, our way of being a good neighbor to the entire Milwaukee area,\" Bessert said.

Concordia University Wisconsin's 2nd Annual Lake Moon Festival is taking place Saturday, Aug. 8. Bring your family and friends to this free festival and enjoy summer food, a unique 5K race, the work of artists inspired by the beauty of a summer night, live music and much more.

While the 5K race is a \"fun run,\" running the bluff promises a challenge, and beautiful views \"a nice scenic view of our entire campus, including the bluff,\" Halling said.

Organizers have planned environmental activities for kids of all ages, including bird watching ,mobile table gardens, aquaponics, bluff tours and more.

Enjoy art, food, nature, music and family activities throughout the festival. Here's a schedule of events:
