Walk of Terror haunted house serves up scares and smiles at Alpine Valley Resort
ELKHORN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- For seven years now, Walk of Terror has been serving up scares and smiles in East Troy. This year, for the first time, the haunted house is in the parking lot of the Alpine Valley Resort.
"If people got what it takes, come on down. We'll be waiting for you," said Jeff McKone, founder of Walk of Terror.
Every year experts work to make the scariest rooms with the creepiest actors, and it's not for the faint heart. Anyone under 18 will need a signed waiver to enter.
"Some people build computer software, some people build townhomes and houses; here at the Walk of Terror we
build fear," said McKone. "And we're really good at it."
It's a scary experience, but it's for a good cause. It all started in Jeff McKone's front yard in 2015.
"My wife's like, 'I'll support you if you do it for a good cause,'" said McKone.
From then it's grown into one of the scariest haunted houses in SE Wisconsin. For the last two years, Haunted Wisconsin has voted it the scariest haunted house.
So, when you arrive, prepare to run out crying.
"You don't want to get too far forward; you don't want to get too far behind, because you might go missing in here," said McKone.
Walk of Terror is open Fridays and Saturdays at 6 p.m.
