MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A piece of an iconic Milwaukee venue got a touchup from a group of volunteers Monday, Jan. 12.
Standing at 12' tall and weighing over a ton, the chandelier at the Pabst Theater went through its annual cleaning.
This lighting fixture is made up of over 33,000 crystals and has to be fully lowered to the floor for proper maintenance. It gives the chandelier a fresh look to start off the new year.
"Just watching it come back to life, so as you are cleaning it, you just see it come back to life and you are like, 'wow,'" volunteer Sandra Wicker said.
In addition to the cleaning, volunteers checked over 125 lightbulbs to make sure they're working properly.
