Viva MKE Marketplace returns to celebrate local talent and culture
MILWAUKEE (CBS58) -- A popular marketplace focusing on community and culture takes place this Saturday, June 14 from noon until 7 PM. It’s the Viva MKE Marketplace, hosted by the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation/Mexican Fiesta. Organizers say “the free family-friendly event is open to all ages and welcomes the community to come together in support of local talent and culture.”
Itzel Núñez, Ms. Mexican Fiesta Ambassador along with Jesus Lomeli joined us on CBS58 News at 6AM on Saturday to explain that it’s “more than just a shopping experience—it’s a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, artistic expression, and cultural pride that define Milwaukee’s vibrant Latino community.”
The marketplace will showcase handcrafted goods such as jewelry, artwork, ceramics, textiles, and other unique creations—all made by local small businesses.
Live entertainment will also be featured, including musicians, DJs, dancers, and more. Plus, there will be authentic Latin American food and drinks!
Viva MKE Marketplace can be found at Flores Hall Parking Lot located at 2997 S. 20th St., Milwaukee.
