MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Villa Terrace Museum & Gardens will host a monarch butterfly release on Monday, Sept. 1, marking the start of a full month of activities at the museum and gardens. The butterflies released will begin a more than 2,000-mile migration to Mexico, where they will hibernate until March before returning to the United States.
Jennifer Current, a board and garden committee member, joined us on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
They talked about what Villa Terrace is, details about the Sept. 1 butterfly event, why raising and releasing monarchs matters, how the process works and what else is planned for September.
