MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee family is seeking justice after a mother on her way home from work was killed in a crash on I-94 in Oak Creek at 5:15p.m Wednesday. The crash shut down the freeway for hours.

"She was a hard-working mother, single mother, loved her boys and her boys loved her," said Earlene Coleman, Zamra Hughes' Grandma.

It's been a rough two days for loved ones of Zamra Hughes.

"I'm just hurt, angry, there's a hole in my heart," said Coleman.

A large group shared hugs and tears at Gordon Park in Riverwest Friday evening near her grandmother's home.

"And I will never hear her voice again or laugh. I will never hear that granny, granny, I will never hear that granny again," said Coleman.

Family says the single mom of two small boys was driving home from Oak Creek Wednesday after a long day at Amazon.

"I know she was doing 11-hour shifts at Amazon and overtime just to make sure her boys didn't want for nothing," said Hughes.

The crash at Drexel shut down Northbound I-94 for well over six hours.

Police have not yet said what caused the crash, but a witness, who didn't want to go on camera, greeted family with hugs, telling them she saw Hughes try to get out of the way of three speeding cars coming up behind her.

"I would like to see justice. The person that did it come forward. You know who you are," said Coleman.

Police say a second vehicle was also damaged in the crash and located a quarter mile from Hughes.

"We lost a daughter. We lost a sister. We lost a mother. They lost they friend, a cousin," said Hughes.

"Justice for my sister," could be heard as family sent balloons soaring high above the park.

Family describe Zamra as an upbeat, happy person, a graduate of Transition High School in Milwaukee, always willing to help others. Family is hoping kindness is returned as they try to comfort a seven-year-old and a three-year-old, now without their mom.

"She lived for them boys. Bring justice for her boys," said Coleman.
