Video: Officer assaults drunk driving suspect

GREENFIELD- On Wednesday, former Greenfield police officer Thomas Roszak was sentenced for throwing a woman into an interview room.

The incident from July of this year was recorded on department surveillance cameras.

It shows Roszak, 30, lifting up the woman and tossing her into the room with her chest smashing against a metal seat.

Roszak is also heard swearing at the woman.

The woman thrown is 30-year-old Amanda Luke of Milwaukee. She was taken to the hospital, treated, and released.

Luke was arrested earlier that morning for her fourth OWI. She now faces charges of fleeing from an officer, operating while revoked, and operating with a restricted controlled substance 4th Offense.

Thomas Roszak, after initially being suspended, resigned from the Greenfield police department on the first of November.

He was sentenced Wednesday, after pleading no contest to misdemeanor battery, to a $1,500 fine, 200 hours of community service, and a 30 day suspended sentence.

Roszak was originally charged with felony misconduct.

Amanda Luke will be in court for her criminal charges in January for a plea hearing.
