UW Health patients have options when receiving COVID vaccines

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- Some hospitals are highlighting the availability of the COVID-19 vaccine outside of their clinics.

State hospitals get just a small fraction of the total vaccines given to the state. They want you to know, you can get a vaccine from pharmacies, area businesses, community organizations, and pop-up vaccine clinics.

This comes as nearly 700,000 people in Wisconsin will become eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in March.

Gov. Tony Evers says he is confident the production of the vaccine will ramp up soon.

Evers says he spoke to President Biden about vaccines before last week's town hall in Milwaukee.

He says vaccine manufacturers are getting better and faster at producing their doses.
