UW Health meets recruiting goals for pediatric Covid-19 vaccine clinical trial

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- UW Health in Madison announced Monday, Aug. 16, that it has met its recruiting goals for the clinical trial of a Covid vaccine for children.

The test will involve kids from six months to 11 years of age.

In a statement Monday, UW Health said:

"Thanks to overwhelming interest from our community, UW Health and the UW School of Medicine and Public Health has already met the recruitment objectives for Moderna's pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial. If your child was selected to be part of the trial, you will be contacted directly. Advancements in science, public health, and clinical care often cannot happen without a supportive and engaged citizenry, and UW Health greatly appreciates this community's ongoing efforts to help end this pandemic."
