U.S. Honor Flag in route to Appleton

NORTH PLATTE, NE (CBS 58) – Appleton Firefighter Mitchell Lundgaard will be honored when the U.S. Honor Flag stops in Appleton.    The U.S. Honor Flag and 44-foot custom RV is currently in eastern Pennsylvania  heading  to Appleton.  It is expected to arrive sometime Sunday afternoon.   The Honor Flag team will be parked at the Appleton Fire Department and will remain until internment.  

The U.S. Honor Flag has traveled over 7 million miles since 9/11 and was aboard the last space shuttle launch, the International  Space Station and to over a thousand funerals and events honoring fallen Firefighters, Police Officers, First Responders and member of the U.S. Armed Forces killed in the line of duty.
