UPDATE: Victims Identified After Head-on Collision Near Oostburg

The victims in the fatal crash were Richard Bill and Mark Graceffa. 

ORIGINAL: A crash on Interstate 43 has left two people dead near Oostburg.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. the Sheboygan County Sheriff's office received several 911 phone calls that a vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound lane on I-43. While the deputies were en route to the scene, they received further information that there was a collision.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the crash occurred after an 85-year-old man was traveling the wrong way on Interstate 43. He then struck a vehicle that was being operated by a 35-year-old male. The operators of both vehicles were declared deceased at the scene.

The names of the victims will be released at a later time, pending the notification of their families.
