University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee welcomes new students

Students moved on to UWM campus on August 27, and 3, 169 freshmen enrolled in UWM this year.
Currently there are 4,300 students are  living on campus-undergrad and grad.
This is up from 2,800 a decade ago. This is largely because 3 residence halls have been added in last decade so now that more space is available more students are choosing to return to residence halls after freshmen year.
There was a 20% increase in students coming back to residence halls after freshmen year in past couple of years.
