University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Guard Nominated for Allstate Good Works Team

University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee guard Justin Jordan was announced on Wednesday as a nominee for the 2016 Allstate NABC Good Works Team one of the most prestigious off-the-court honors in college basketball.

For the fourth year Allstate, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) are recognizing a select group of college basketball student athletes for their remarkable community service achievements.

Jordan mentors youth in the area and at Boys and Girls Club about the importance of academics, hard work, listening and pursuing dreams. He, also, reads to Milwaukee area grade school children as part of the Panthers' reading program. In addition, he puts on a basketball clinic for underprivileged children from the south side of Milwaukee at Journey House, a community oasis where men, women and children can build academic, employment and life skills to help them achieve goals.

From this year’s record 154 NABC nominees and 103 WBCA nominees, a final roster of 10 award recipients (for each NABC and WBCA) – five players from the Division I level and five players from Divisions II, III and the NAIA – will be announced in February.
