MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- UnitedHealthcare's employee volunteers are set to donate over $27,000 worth of care packages to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Wisconsin.

These care packages, created by national nonprofit TODAY is a Good Day, aim to provide emotional support to families facing the challenges of NICU.

The assembly of 725 such care packages will take place at UnitedHealthcare's 84th Street offices, scheduled for Wednesday, July 12 at 10 a.m.

Unique to these packages are bonding squares, fabric items designed to strengthen the connection between NICU babies and their families through shared scents. Delivery to Children's Wisconsin will take place immediately following assembly.
