MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Friday, July 10, was a big day at Milwaukee's Sherman Phoenix Business Hub.
They opened the "Underground Makers Market" -- four businesses owned by four women on the business park's lower level.
We talked to two of the women, who happen to be mother and daughter, running separate businesses.
They love the fact that the women are working side-by-side.
"We work extremely well together, we boost each other up," said Pamela McCreary and Jamila Riley. "We make sure that we are all rising together, that no one is falling behind, and it's a great community."
The boutique shops at Underground Makers Market are located at 35th and Fond Du Lac.
