UMOS hosts annual Breakfast with Santa event

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It was a special morning on Milwaukee's south side for thousands of kids and their families.

UMOS held their annual Breakfast with Santa at South Division High School.

More than 2,500 kids and parents enjoyed a hot pancake breakfast, a visit and photos with santa, and a wrapped gift.

The President of UMOS says the event continues to grow every year.

"We used to do this at our own building, we used to be on 8th and Greenfield, we moved to Chase street but the event got so big we needed to get assistance from one of the local schools," said Lupe Martinez, President and CEO of UMOS.

UMOS has been holding this event for more than 30 years. Organizers say it started with just a few hundred kids.
