Ukraine benefit concert to be held at Colectivo's The Back Room on March 12

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A concert to benefit Ukraine will take place at The Back Room at Colectivo on Saturday, March 12. 

Colectivo Coffee and Dnipro Ukrainian Dance Ensemble are partnering to host the event that will feature Ukrainian musical performances, poetry, personal stories, art, and world renowned Ukrainian pianist, Roman Rudnystky. 

Admission will be free, however charitable contributions will directly support Ukraine. Donations will go directly to Sunflower of Peace Foundation which is a non-profit organization based in Boston committed to helping Ukrainians affected by the Russian military invasion. Additionally, QR codes will be available for anyone interested in donating locally to St. Michael's Ukrainian Church, who is currently sneding weekly humanitarian aid and medical supplies to the country. 

The event begins at 2 p.m. at Colectivo's Prospect cafe located at 2211 North Prospect Avenue. 

Additionally, Colectivo will donate 20% of the cafe's afternoon sales.

Twenty Colectivo cafes located throughout Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago will also be selling hand-decorated blue and yellow shortbread cookies with 100% of sales being contributed back to the selected charity.
