Two women arrested for OWI in West Bend over holiday weekend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The West Bend Police Department made two arrests for OWI over the holiday weekend.

On Saturday shortly after 3 a.m., a West Bend Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 700 block of Sheridan Drive. The driver, a 53-year-old Kewaskum woman showed signs of intoxication, failed standardized field sobriety tests, and blew a .098 into a PBT. She was arrested for OWI.

On Sunday shortly before 9 p.m., a citizen reported a vehicle parked in the Kwik Trip parking lot with a driver that appeared to be "out of it." The driver was identified as a 35-year-old Racine woman. She was arrested for OWI- Restricted Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also charged with Obstructing an Officer after giving a fake name in an attempt to avoid being arrested while on a warrant.
