Two Teenagers Arrested after Multiple Carjackings on South Side

Milwaukee Police Officers from District Six, the Neighborhood Task Force, and the Robbery Task Force worked together to arrest two teenagers in connection with two carjackings on Milwaukee’s South Side.

The first incident happened around 9:30 PM on August 23 in the 200 block of East Rosedale Avenue. Two suspects approached the victim, a 37-year-old man, pointed a gun at him, and demanded his car. The victim complied and the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle, a 2012 Honda CR-V.

Around 20 minutes later, the same suspects approached a 20-year-old woman in the 700 block of East Homer Street. The suspects demanded her car at gunpoint, a 2005 Ford Escape, and fled in that vehicle.

A short time later, District Six officers saw the CR-V and Escape parking in the 200 block of East Lincoln Avenue. The driver of each vehicle got out of their respective cars and fled on foot. Officers quickly caught up to them and both were taken into custody.

The suspects arrested are a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy. The 15-year-old suspect was found with a BB gun.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
