BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Early Friday morning around 2:30 a.m. Brookfield Fire responded to a report of a house fire on North Avenue.
Four people were taken to Froedtert Hospital for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were injured in the blaze.
The fire was so large that twelve other fire departments across southeast Wisconsin responded.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) – Two people were taken to the hospital early Friday morning following a house fire in Brookfield.
Fire crews say they were called to the home near North Ave. and Fairhaven Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. Four adults were in the home at the time of the fire.
There’s no word on the extent of injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
