Two Sunday morning shootings under investigation

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating two early morning shootings.

The first happened around 12:10 AM in the area of N 1st and W Townsend Streets.   According to the Police, a 19-year-old man was shot as he approached  two people sitting in a car parked along the street.   After being shot, the victim fled the area on foot and sought help at a nearby convenience store.   The young man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  A person of interest has been detained by the Police as the investigation into the incident continues.

While attending a house party in the area of N 18th and W Nash Streets, a 39-year-old woman was shot under circumstance that are not yet clear.   The shooting, which happened around 2:10 AM, remains under investigation and the MPD is looking for suspects.
