Two Non-Fatal Shootings in Milwaukee Overnight

The Milwaukee Police are investigating two non-fatal shootings that happened overnight.  In both cases, the victims were able to drive themselves to a local hospital for treatment of their wounds.

The first shooting was reported around 11:30 PM Wednesday.  According to the Police, a 48-year-old man was wounded in the shooting that occurred in the area of N 27th and W Burleigh Streets.   The initial Police investigation found that a suspect apparently became upset for an unknown reason and began shooting a gun, with one of the rounds striking the victim. 

The MPD reports that at 2 AM, a 22-year-old man arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.  According to the Police report, the man said he was involved in a dispute with known subject, when the subject drew a gun and began shooting at the victim.  The Police report said the victim gave some conflicting information about the actual location of the shooting.

The MPD is continuing to investigate the shootings  and is looking for suspects in both.
