Two Men Injured in Separate Shootings Sunday

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating two shooting incidents  that happened Sunday.  In each case the victim is expected to survive their injury.

Police say around 1:25 PM Sunday, a 32-year-old Milwaukee man was shot while sitting in his vehicle at N 24th and W Clarke Streets.  At this point in the investigation, Police say it is not clear if the shooting suspect was inside or outside the victim’s car when the shooting occurred.   The Milwaukee Fire Department treated the victim and then transported him to a local hospital in what is described as serious condition, but he is expected to survive his injury.

A second shooting occurred around 9:30 PM in an alley at N 39th Street and W Florist Avenue.  According to the MPD, a 17-year-old man was shot in his car as he was driving in the area.  The Police report indicates that a suspect in a second vehicle drove up behind the victim and fire several shots at him.  The victim received a non-life threatening wound.  He was taken to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Police are searching for suspects in both cases.
