Two Men Injured in Separate Shootings

Two unrelated shootings, happening about 20 minutes apart Wednesday evening, are being investigated by the Milwaukee Police Department.  In both incidents, the victims are expected to recover from their wounds.

The first shooting occurred around 5:35 PM in the area of N 7th and W Congress Streets.  According to the Police report, a 29-year-old Milwaukee man was shot but the circumstances surrounding the shooting are unclear and are being investigated.  The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injury.

About 20 minutes later, at 5:55 PM, a 28-year-old Milwaukee man was wounded while standing outside a residence near N 49th and W Center Streets.  The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his wound.  Again, the circumstances that lead up to the shooting are under investigation. 

The MPD is continuing to seek suspects in both cases.
