Two hurt after car slams into semi-truck in Kenosha County

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – Two people were hurt after a car hit a semi-truck near the Amazon headquarters in Kenosha Monday morning.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s office says the semi, carrying Amazon cargo, was pulling out of the parking lot at the headquarters when it was hit by a car around 4:50 a.m. Authorities say the car was speeding and flipped after it hit the truck.

It took two hours to get the passengers out of the car. They were both taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s department believes speed and alcohol could be factors in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
