Two dead, 1 injured after van crashes into semi which lost control in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a semi vs. van crash which left two people dead.
Deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash on STH 18 at Hope Lake Road around 7:32 p.m. on Friday.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a semi was traveling westbound on STH 18 when it began to lose control. A van was traveling eastbound on STH 18 when it struck the semi.
Both occupants of the van were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation team.
