Two arrested in overnight car chase in West Allis, Brookfield

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – Two men were arrested early Friday morning following a car chase with police.

Authorities in West Allis say it began shortly before 3 a.m. near S. 66th St. and W. Beloit Rd. Officers attempted to stop a stolen SUV, but it drove off. Stop sticks were successfully used to stop the vehicle near S. 60th St. and W. Lincoln Ave., however, the SUV was still able to drive away. The vehicle then got on Interstate 94 westbound on two flat tires.

Soon after, the SUV got off the highway at Moorland Rd. in Brookfield.

At this time, a West Allis officer conducted a PIT maneuver and the SUV came to a stop. However, the vehicle attempted to flee again and intentionally reversed into the squad car, but was unsuccessful. The SUV was unable to leave the scene and officers were able to take the two occupants into custody.

The driver is a 21-year-old male and the passenger was a 22-year-old man.
