Two arrested and gun recovered in Oakland shooting

A shooting happened near UWM's campus on Oakland Avenue at 3:30 AM on August 2.
The incident happened in the 2900 block of N. Oakland Avenue.
A few minutes later, officers from UWM saw another suspect believed to be involved in the shooting fleeing from the scene on foot.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man, pointed a gun at the officers and was taken into custody in the 3000 block of N. Bartlett Avenue.
A fight involving multiple people took place on the street and two victims, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, were hit by gunfire.
The victims were transported to a local hospital, where the man is being treated for serious injuries and the woman is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The male victim is in custody for his alleged role in the shooting.
A gun was recovered that may have been used in the shooting.
