MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away and local organizations are making sure families are given a warm meal this holiday season.
The Hunger Task Force and Zurn Elkay are running their "Turkey Ticker" challenge with proceeds going to 60 local food pantries.
The two will match any donations made to the cause throughout the rest of the month.
The program is in its 15th year, but one staff member says their goal always remains the same.
"We value the ability to get food on the table in our community," said Jennifer Clearwater, community and public affairs manager for Zurn Elkay. "We love the idea that every family with have a warm thanksgiving meal and great foot produce and food stocked throughout the entire year."
Between the two groups, they are donating 2,000 turkeys to families across Wisconsin.
