MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- For 37 years, "Doc" Dentice has been helping veterans who may be feeling some holiday depression. He was at it again on Friday, Dec. 13.
Dentice, who's a Vietnam veteran himself, delivered a truckload of holiday gifts to the Zablocki VA Medical Center.
"You know, you get a little depressed and bummed out here, while you're in the hospital. And they're far away from home. No family or friends. So, we bring Christmas to them," said Jeffrey "Doc" Dentice, coordinator for Christmas with the Vets.
The boxes are filled with clothing, personal supplies, and treats, all handed out to the veterans over the holidays.
Dentice tells us he has put almost 2,000 miles picking up the donations, but he says he's blessed to do it for those who served.
