MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- As summer slowly inches closer, the Milwaukee County Parks Department is announcing the return of their popular traveling beer gardens.
Parks employees will operate the gardens, allowing Milwaukeeans to spend some time touring the city while drinking some beer.
County Executive David Crowley says the operation has brought in over $4 million since it started in 2014.
"Some of the statistics from last year -- 55,000 pints served, 2,000 root beer floats served, 7,700 brats and hotdogs served and 4,500 Milwaukee pretzels served," said Milwaukee County Parks Director Guy Smith.
The two mobile beer gardens will open in May, one on May 11 in Juneau Park and the other on May 25 in Froemming Park.
They will run through Labor Day with 10 stops on their routes.
Among those 10 stops will be Doctor's Park, Cooper Park and Lake Park.
