Train Derailment Causes Concern, Nobody Hurt

Three cars jumped the tracks Monday at 107th Street, south of Brown Deer Road.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire department says it got the first call around 1:30 p.m.

There were no hazardous materials on board.

But the derailment causes a small brush fire which was quickly put out.

The fire department stayed on scene for  about 35 minutes.

Folks in the area say they didn't see what happened, but could smell the smoke.

Union Pacific is working to figure out what exactly went wrong.
