Train and tractor collide in rural Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Friday morning just after 10 the Dodge County Sheriff's Office was notified of a report of crash between a train and tractor near County Highway KW and Hogsback Road, in the town of Lowell. 

The investigation indicated that a tractor, driven by a rural 31-year-old Juneau man, was going south in a farm field drive near W7782 County Highway KW. The driver tried to stop for the train but slid and hit the front of the train.

No one was injured as a result of this incident and the only damage was to the front plow and railing of the train engine.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the crash is a civil matter.
