Traffic Incident Damages Capitol Drive Bridge; Waukesha County F Ramp Closed until Assessment

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation  has closed the ramp from Waukesha County F to westbound WIS 190 (Capitol Drive). A traffic incident this morning damaged a girder on the westbound Capitol Drive Bridge over County F. The closure will allow WisDOT to complete a full assessment of possible damage to the bridge structure. The length of the closure will be determined by the extent of the damage and the timeline to complete any needed repairs.

Additionally, the northbound right lane of County F is closed due to damaged concrete on the overpass. The lane restriction is expected be lifted once the loose concrete can be removed, which may occur Thursday.

Detour of the ramp from County F to WIS 190:

Traffic heading north on County F will continue to County K, then turn left (west). Proceed on County K to WIS 164, then go left (south). Continue south on WIS 164 to connect with WIS 190.
