Town of Waukesha home damaged by apparent lightning strike

A Town of Waukesha home was apparently struck by lightning early this morning, causing a fire in the attic and one bedroom.   A neighbor spotted flames coming through the roof of the single family home at Wood Lilly Lane and Lawnsdale Road around 4:10 AM.   Town of Waukesha firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 20 minutes.   The residents were not at home at the time of the fire.  Officials believe the fire was caused by a lightning strike to the roof ridge.  There is no estimate of the dollar amount of loss at this time.   No one was injured in fighting the fire.
