Topgolf and Pizza Hut veteran to lead Harley-Davidson as new CEO

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Harley-Davidson has named Artie Starrs its next president and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 1. The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer announced that Starrs will also join the company’s board of directors.
According to a Monday, Aug. 4 press release, Starrs most recently led Topgolf International, where he oversaw global expansion and revenue growth from $1.1 billion in 2021 to $1.8 billion annually. Before that, he served as global CEO of Pizza Hut and held earlier leadership roles at Rave Cinemas and investment firm Wasserstein Perella.
Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson’s current chairman, president and CEO, will remain with the company through Feb. 2026 in a senior advisory role. Troy Alstead, the board’s presiding director, will become board chair this fall.
Harley-Davidson leaders cited Starrs’ experience managing global brands and franchise-driven businesses as key to advancing the company’s long-term strategy with Monday's press release.
