Tommy James & The Shondells bringing a night of nostalgia to the 2023 Wisconsin State Fair

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin State Fair officials have announced that Tommy James & The Shondells will be performing their chart-topping hits at the State Fair Main Stage.

The concert is set to take place on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 7:30 p.m., presented by Potawatomi Casino Hotel.

A press release from the Wisconsin State Fair notes that the band has sold over 100 million records worldwide, with hits like "Mony Mony," "Crystal Blue Persuasion" and "Crimson and Clover" becoming pop culture classics that were covered by everyone from punk rockers to country icons.

Little Anthony will open the show with his hits like "Tears on my Pillow," "Goin' Out of My Head" and "Hurts So Bad."

The cost of admission for the show are priced at $36, $41, and $46 with the price of a ticket including admission to the 2023 Wisconsin State Fair for the day of the show, when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at WiStateFair.com, with pre-sale tickets available for Friends of the Fair, a membership benefiting the Wisconsin State Fair Park Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps support the State Fair and State Fair Park initiatives.
