GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- As winter continues, Titletown in Green Bay is hosting several new events geared at giving community members and families an opportunity to get out and enjoy some winter fun.
Beginning February 1, film buffs of all ages can take a break from the chill with Movies at Rockwood, free indoor movie screenings each Thursday evening. A variety of movies, from new releases to classic favorites, will run through February and March including Jason Bourne, Footloose, Miracle, Cool Runnings, Singin' in the Rain, The Lion King and Wonder.
For those looking to enjoy the competitive spirit, Titletown will host the Titletown Winter Games, with winter-themed activities and competitions. Opening ceremonies on Friday, February 9, will kick off the 2-week event and activities will take place most days during that span. Competitions will include tubing and ice bike races, ice rink games, snow relay races and snowshoe 40-yard dashes, with all activities weather-dependent.
As previously announced, ice bikes also have made their debut at Titletown, which combines riding a bike with ice skating and offers a unique option to enjoy the ice without the skates. Rentals are offered each day, and availability depends on rink capacity, which fluctuates throughout the day.
